City of Zawiercie

Zawiercie is a city in the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland with 51,880 inhabitants . It is situated in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland near the source of the Warta River.

Location

The town lies near the historical region of Silesia, but belongs to Lesser Poland. In 1945, it was made a part of the Katowice Voivodeship.

Kraków-Częstochowa Upland is a stunning land which consists of a hilly landscape with Jurrasic limestone rocks, cliffs, valleys and vast limestone formations, featuring some 220 caves. It’s a beautiful and very popular hiking area.

Zawiercie is located only around 1 hour drive from Kraków, Poland’s old capital city, very well know for beautiful architecture and friendly atmosphere.

Also in a close distance one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites can be found: remarkable underground complex of “Wieliczka” Salt Mine.

Main venue for seminar on Saturday (21.09) will be located at below address. From the sport hall participants will spread to different locations by buses. Shuttle bus will drive all participants and referees from hotel to sport hall and back.

Main venue for competition on Sunday (22.09) will be located at Zawiercie’s biggest sport hall OSIR II. Shuttle bus will drive all participants and referees from hotel to sport hall and back.

Main hotel for the event will be Villa Verde Congress and SPA **** located just 4,5km from the sport hall.

The hotel has 167 rooms, 2 restaurants, caféteria and lobby bar as well as SPA & Wellness Centre with a water park.

Hotel parking is free of charge and doesn’t need a reservation.
